How to experience luxury hospitality with three children under six? I wasn’t sure whether a “country-house escape” could truly deliver on both grown-up indulgence and children-approved fun, but Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire does just that with effortless grace. Time to put the LCC OOO on and have some much needed family time. 

From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt calm, welcoming and unapologetically luxurious. The family-friendly infrastructure is thoughtful and thorough - spacious suites with separate living areas gave the kids room to play while we unwound in peace.

For families, the real showstopper is the kids’ programming. The complimentary Kids For All Seasons club offers a delightful blend of crafts, games and outdoor adventures, making it incredibly easy to drop the children off for a couple of hours while adults enjoy some downtime, or spa time, or just a restful read in the library. 

And then there is Sharkie’s Reef, pure magic for small families. With a four-metre slide, bubble jets and a playful, splash-zone design, it quickly became my children’s absolute favourite part of the stay. They emerged from the water grinning, exhausted, and already asking when we could come back. 

We also appreciated how the hotel manages to balance its countryside grandeur with everyday practicality — from complimentary bike hire to pony grooming, nano-adventures on the estate and friendly staff who seemed to genuinely understand what travelling with little ones requires. 

In short: Four Seasons Hampshire is not a “family-friendly hotel that tolerates children.” It is a country-house resort that embraces children, and grant parents a rare chance to feel as pampered and at ease, but with the joyful soundtrack of little feet at play. For a family getaway where you don’t have to compromise on elegance or fun, this is it.
